Hills celebrates 10 years!

This month at Hills, we’re thrilled to be celebrating our 10 year anniversary. 

Being able to spend the last decade helping people move in and around Eccles, Salford and Swinton has truly been a delight. 

Initially doing sales, we have expanded to offer letting, property management and mortgage services. We’ve gone from being one of the first ‘hybrid estate agencies’ to winning awards to expanding the business – it’s been an exciting journey.

Our stats say it all:

• £500 million
  Completed on over £500 million pounds worth of property.

• 6000 people
  Helped over 6000 people move home throughout Salford.

• £50 million
  We manage over £50 million pounds worth of property.

• 25 team members
  Grown to a team of 25 individuals who live in the local area.

A look back at some of our milestones: 

• 2012: Opened in April 2012, we were one of the first UK launched ‘hybrid estate agencies’. The idea was to be an ‘online agent with a local presence’ that could embrace the modern methods of selling homes whilst providing that local, personal and professional service people continue to look for from an agent.

• 2014: Based in Eccles and covering Salford within two years of launching we had become the market leader both on instructions and sales in the area. We also won a prestigious award at the National Estate Agency Awards, the ESTAS in 2014, winning Silver for North-West Estate Agency of the Year.

• 2015: In 2015 we opened our second office in Urmston and our lettings and property management business was born. Going hand in hand with our sales business it further improved the service we could offer to our clients across Salford and Greater Manchester.

• 2016: Built on service, we felt the only way to continue to deliver this was to be based in the area and opened our third office in Swinton in the summer of 2016. We swiftly became a market leader across Swinton and Worsley in the sale and rent of homes.

• 2017: Following from that we opened Hills Financial in 2017 that allowed our clients to get the very best deals for their mortgage and level of protection needed.

• 2018: We won our biggest award to date, Hills won UK Lettings Agent of the Year voted by tenants, at the National Estate Agency Awards, a true testament to the service we strive to deliver day in day out.

• 2020: In 2020 we moved offices into a large 3200 sqft. property hub that combines sales, lettings, management, financial and sales support, re-branded from Hills Residential to Hills and launched our new state of the art website that combines property and lifestyle searches all in one place.

• 2021: Through covid we moved swiftly to video lead content, embraced social media advertising to highlight local businesses and services in the area and worked closely with our sales support teams and solicitors to ensure we continued to help people move throughout such a testing time resulting in a record year for property sales and lets in 2021.

Present day

Now into 2022, 10 years in and keen to keep moving forward and improving.

The team has grown to 25 individuals, who have helped over 6000 people move home, we manage over 50 million pounds worth of property and have completed on over £500 million pounds worth of property.
